Hi Edwina,

We have just returned home sadly after 6 wonderful days in Seychelles.

We had wonderful weather and the sea was fantastic. We did an excursion around the island as well as a boat trip with snorkeling to Round Island and also spent much time swimming in the sea on the hotels private beach with deck chairs We actually never used the hotel pool. We were very happy with the hotel. The superior room was very comfortable, spacious with fridge, TV, aircon and bath and shower, small lounge area that led out into a pretty garden, whereas the std room had a smaller lounge area and no bath and was on the 1st and 2nd floors. I would recommend requesting a std room facing the back garden and with the open passage way leading out from the door, which is better than the ones, which look out onto a roof of the restaurant and lead off the inside passage, which gets very hot and airless.

The breakfasts were very good and meals in all 3 restaurants were good.

I would definitely not recommend the Beau Vallon bungalows, which are very shoddy, no privacy as you can look into rooms and will need to keep curtains closed and a distance to the public beach, small and terrible bathrooms.!!!

Thank you very much for sorting out all the hassles and I will contact you when I visit there again, which I definitely will do.!!

Regards.
Lorraine

Hi Edwina,

This is just a short message to say that it was WOW WOW WOW in Seychelles. Everything you have planned and organized was perfect. The Hotel - service, food, room, people- was extra ordinair - the best!

Thanks a million times. I will give you a detailed report of ALL the fun we had after Christmas. We are leaving again tomorrow for Sabie Sands.

Please let me know which photographs you would like. We have taken over a 1000 of everything we saw, but also a lot underwater. Just magnificent.

Thanks once again for a memorable awesome time we had. We will treasure it for ever!

Many blessings
Linda

Hi Shar and Ed,

Thank you, Diana and I had a wonderful time. Sorry for the late reply but coming back to work after a 3 week break was pretty hectic. Lots of catch-up to do.
I have attached some pictures of Diana and myself in Seychelles; we have 9 gigs of pictures so I have had to choose a few with us in. We took so many pictures and movies of La Reserve and also Seychelles in general. I will also attach one or two wedding pictures in a second email I will send after this one. Apologies if they are not clear, I have had to downsize them from 4-6 megs a picture to what they now are.
Could we please get a team shot or at least a shot of those involved in booking our trip (you, Edwina, Valarie etc) if it’s a larger group shot, then please give us the names from left to right so we know who is who.
Looking forward to your team picture.

Web Tours:
Firstly Diana and I would like to thank you and your team for such amazing service. I felt that all the other competitors out there just wanted to give you the packages they thought would do, just give us a little expecting us to not follow through. You guys gave us everything we needed, to make up our mind about where we wanted to go. As you well remember we considered Mauritius and Maldives, but the package from La Reserve shone out in my opinion. Once Diana and I had settled in the resort offered packaged excursions made the holiday so much more enjoyable and fulfilling. You had the freedom to decide if you wanted to skip the daily excursion and do your own thing, which gives you control of your holiday.
It has been a pleasure receiving emails and calls from you and your team, and this has given Web Tours a personal edge that beat every other company we originally contacted hands down. We felt that we had endless selection of where to go and resorts to pick from. I personally didn’t want limited options, even though it might be harder making ones final decision it still is important to have options, and this is what Web Tours gave us.
The package we received from the couriers was a surprise. To be honest we didn’t expect the travel books, very nice origin bags, professional documentations, and the beautiful travel pouch. Something of a surprise and one that really got Diana and I excited about the Honeymoon to come.
I felt that you were always in contact even when you were extremely busy and this made me feel at ease about any problems that didn’t arise. The AIG insurance you offered was also perfect and thankfully never required.

Masons:
Another fantastic group of people, from the wonderful and friendly skippers that took us out on the Catamaran (what an amazing ship), to the friendly and knowledgeable bus drivers that took us to and from the resort. The staff even come and visit you at a set time and date at La Reserve to make sure your stay is going well, if anything is wrong they give you contact numbers to make sure your taken care of.

Seychelles itself:
I know understand why it is considered a paradise of sorts. Beaches that cannot be described but only seen for oneself, friendly people everywhere, secluded but at the same time with all the luxuries you should need. Good food, quiet atmosphere and private feeling about it. Professional tourism service at every turn.

La Reserve:
The staff were friendly and very professional we even came away with a couple of addresses and telephone numbers. Management seems to always be present and this is one of the reasons La Reserve felt like home. You get treated like a king even buy the owner who brought our SD-Card that we lost in the grass somewhere, one of the gardeners found it and gave it to the owner who in return had heard about our loss from the reception. He walked it to our door personally.
The restaurant was fine dining all the way, even when a lot of people arrived the second last night of our stay you always felt as if you had someone watching over you. The food quality was superb, French cuisine with wonderful flavors and the usual French presentation which makes the meal just look even better. We found the tour guide Francis extremely knowledgeable and funny, he was one of the many reasons the trip turned out as well as it did. The pool is incredible and even though you have the option to explore the beaches sometimes its just nice to tan, eat, drink and dip in a non salty and sandy pool. The place was always clean, everywhere. The garden service not only takes care of the grass and flowers, but they also seems to take care of the ocean and the beach. The snorkeling trip we took with La Reserve was amazing and I even got Diana to try it and she was very afraid. We both walked away charged up and ready for our next snorkeling holiday. The resort not only had hair dryers, towels for the bathroom, beach towels but also offered snorkeling equipment and flippers which made it a lot easier of the luggage space. At first when Diana and I booked this trip we wanted to be alone and as private as possible. Well that sort of what we got at La Reserve, we found that during the day it was hard to even notice people at all, the beach was nice a private and almost no one was there. The pool was also pretty empty, yet at the same time we craved the contact you got from the other guests during the fun excursions and the wonderful dinners on the jetty.

We loved taking pictures of the fish at night over the jetty as we fed them with the other guests. We found that the menu was very seafood heavy, which makes sense since we were in Seychelles, but we also found that as Diana is not such a fan of seafood all she had to do was ask and they would make something special for her up. We also noticed that even though all foreign currencies are accepted, the hotel mainly worked in Euro’s, it would have been a little easier if we had been told this at the start, and the internet never really had much information on this topic, so that could help future guests. The plugs were European at La Reserve which we fortunately catered for before we left, so we could charge the camera. They seem to have very good cell coverage all around Seychelles, so roaming is possible.

4 out of 6 nights we had a set menu and not a buffet, which made it harder for Diana who is not a major seafood fan, but as I said they were always very willing to accommodate our requests.
The rooms were cleaned in the morning and not once did we bump into anyone cleaning them. The beds were turned down in the evening before we went to bed, and everything was always so clean……
We must have had one of the best rooms on the plot, away from all the activities and close to the beach and sea. We unfortunately chose the wrong time of year to go. It seems that Dec and Jan are there most rainy seasons, they recommended closer to April, May and March. But in the end we made the most of the rainy weather, took the sun when we could, and still had a wonderful time.

We really fell in love with the Coco nuts, juice was good, and the nut part was amazing. Such a pity we don’t have this locally, or at least the one we have locally doesn’t taste 1/100 as good as the real thing.

Once again, thank you for our wonderful holiday, we have learnt a lot about traveling and what to look out for in the future.
Will keep in touch for our next trip which will either be Thailand, Mauritius, Zanzibar or something totally different like Europe / Germany etc.

Regards
Rory and Diana

Hi Edwina,

When we got home today and the travel kit was lying on the table waiting for us, Diana and I were so excited we opened a bottle of JC, Diana doesn't drink so that should speak volumes :)

The Travel kit was wonderful; we love the bags and the fantastic Seychelles books you included. Funny enough we have been looking around for Seychelles books and have found none at two different Exclusive books stores in Cape Town not to mention lacking stock at Wordsworth books stores. So as you can imagine you have made us both very happy about that little bonus. Diana told me to tell you she loves the handmade travel book that contains all the goodies. To give you some feedback we both felt the kit was very personal and exciting to look through.

Oh my word we are both so excited now :)
Just wanted to again say thank you to you and your team for ur super help and awesome service. Diana and I will email pictures once we are back and tell you about it.

Was considering giving you a call earlier this evening but I am sure you guys are as busy as we are, if not, more so. Hope all the best for Christmas time and the New Year to come.

We will be in contact I am sure.

Regards
Rory and Diana
